About the Event
🎬 About the Event & FilmJoin us for the exclusive HCMC community screening of Plastic Odyssey – Mission Henderson, the powerful new documentary from the global Plastic Odyssey expedition.
The film takes us to Henderson Island, a remote, uninhabited UNESCO World Heritage site in the South Pacific—tragically known as one of the most plastic-polluted places on Earth, with over 38 million pieces of debris washed ashore. In early 2024, after months of planning, the Plastic Odyssey crew carried out their boldest mission yet: removing over 9 tons of waste using low-tech, sustainable methods—including rafts and parasails designed to protect coral reefs. The collected plastic was repurposed into useful items like street furniture for nearby island communities.
This isn’t just a story about cleaning up—it’s a call to action, showcasing what's possible when community, creativity, and practical innovation come together.
🌊 A must-see for anyone rethinking their role in the plastic crisis.🛑…
